FARM PARK SHOP
Mrs. Macdonald has a small farm shop counter where visitors pay to enter the park. You can purchase some items here.
PELLETS
Hand feed the animals around the farm with our animal pellets. The bags are compostable, and our tubs and buckets are recyclable, so please do return them to the shop counter so we can compost or reuse to help save the planet.

ENTRY TO THE FARM PARK
takes around 30mins
Wander through in your own time, get up close with a variety of farm animals, including ponies, goats, pigs, chickens, alpacas, and more.
Take your time - follow the numbers or follow the children's lead. A sheet with all the animals names and breeds is available, pat the animals over the fence, talk about their breed, colour, what noises they make and unique characteristics. Feed pellets, get some selfies, park up on a seat and just chill with the animals.
We have add on options to purchase with your booking or on arrival at the Farm Park Shop.
EDUCATIONAL VISIT

Wanting a safe and memorable animal experience for your group, where they can see, pat and feed pellets to the friendly farm animals at Mrs. Macdonald’s Farm Park.
Designated hub with a gazebo, seating and a picnic mat. This shaded area is where the children can complete worksheets, have questions and answers time or eat their snacks or lunch.. Handwashing facilities, port-a-loo and we are wheel chair friendly.
Educational Group visits are FREE for adults.

PONY RIDES
15 min or 30 min options
Experience a real pony ride, enjoy your child's first horse ride. Purchase a voucher with any farm park visit, then its just a short drive up the road to start your pony riding experience.
We have collaborated with Sheree and now offer year round pony rides for ourcustomers. Located just a few kms away head there after your farm park visit. Present your voucher on arrival. They will arrange a helmet, and a big or little horse to suit your rider. No worries if it's raining as they have a covered arena.

FEED TIME
daily 930am & 430pm
Visitors can participate in our scheduled feeding times helping feed all the animals with Mrs. Macdonald or one of our staff members.
This hands-on activity allows visitors to participate in the very important job feeding the farm park animals. You could also bring along some vegetables, fruit, flowers or fresh cut grass for the animals, its neat to see them enjoy food you foraged especially for them.
Pellets are available to purchase and hand feed to the animals any other time or visit.

Travel is $2 per km from our location & return, per vehicle/trip.
$120 per hour for 3 small animals - rabbit, guinea pig, chickens, ducks.
$220 per hour for large animal - goat, donkey, pig, pony, alpaca.
We bring our own fencing and gazebo, hay and water for the animals, poop scooper.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Daylight savings - no appointment necessary whilst we are open (unless the weather is bad)

Winter - appointments are necessary. Book at least 1 hour in advance where possible.

Please call Mrs. Macdonald 021 930 950 to check availability if wanting a visit outside of our open hours, or if you have made an online booking for the same day, or if you haven't had a reply from a text or Facebook message.

Daily Hazards are on the whiteboard at the gate.

We DO NOT have Eftpos. We do accept online bookings, cash or internet banking.

If no children are accompanying you, then child prices apply to adults.

Portaloo available around the back beside the sleepout. Please respectfully do not put anything down other than P & P and toilet paper. Let us know if it needs attention and do not look down!

Respect is expected for the animals, our guides and our park please.

This is also our home, please only visit during open hours, open days or with booked appointments so we can be prepared for you and have our dogs away.

Parking is limited; please park on the grass verge on the side of our driveway, or down the lane towards the river.

For groups, schools, birthdays - we open our horse arena for parking, there will be a sign of where to park.

Please take any rubbish you brought in with you.

Do not bring dogs or other pets.

Please ding the bell or phone on arrival if you do not see someone.

Caregivers are responsible for the supervision of children at all times.

Any damage done by you or your group should be paid for.

Fences on the right hand side of the driveway are electric (top only).

Please take care feeding the horses on the driveway.

Photos are allowed within the farm park as long they as used for personal use and not to be used against the farm park in any way.

If there are any incidents or concerns please be sure to tell us so we can keep everyone safe and mitigate any hazards.
